Aigaliers

Small tourist village of Uzège, locked on to the side of a hill and dominated by the remnants of its feudal château. In crossing it, we'll be able to see its Middle Age porches and streets, the ruins of its château and dungeons, its Saracen wall, citadel and washeries, its shrubbery and clock. 11th century Romanesque church in the hamlet of Gattigues.

Don't forget that the commune of Aigaliers is very spread out and includes 10 housing groups: la Chabian, le Domaine de Bruyès, Bourdiguet, Aigaliers, Marignac, la Bruyerette, Gattigues, Champ des Baumes, Foussargues and Mas Pontier.
The very quaint village of Aigaliers is a place where, for the past two decades, painters like to set up their easels. Consequently, the village is represented in photos and paintings all over the world. Aigaliers contributes to the recognition of the Wines of Uzège.
