Blauzac

Rising up from a hill in the middle of the garrigue, Blauzac, a premium site since prehistory, towers over the wild and magnificent Gorges of the Gardon at Pont Saint-Nicolas.

This commune provided the Catholic Church with such eminent prelates as Bertrand de Deaux and Jean de Blauzac. Raoul and Jacques Guérin, famous Camisards, not to mention Ravanel, lieutenant of Jean Cavalier, are natives. Proud of its past, Blauzac is nowadays content with its peaceful farming village status where more and more secondary residences have sprouted.

Attracted by its sunshine and microclimate, vacationers love to come and relax. Some even choose to stay. Its true that its stadium, its two tennis courts and its environment conducive to walks and sightseeing are some of Blauzac's major advantages.

You must see :
 • Remnants of the old feudal château (12th century)
 • Gothic three-naves parish church (14th century)
 • Capitelles
