The Pont du Gard
On a splendid site of 165 hectares recently restored and entirely pedestrian, visitors can discover the Pont du Gard, the most prestigious element of the aqueduct built around 50 AD to convey water from a spring near Uzès to Nîmes.
Around the monument featured on UNESCO's World Heritage list is found the Site of the Pont du Gard, an opportunity to see and discover, through its discovery areas, a unique archaeological, historical and natural heritage. A large programme of cultural and relaxing events are proposed. According to the seasons or to one's desires, one can either follow a guided tour of the bridge or the site's remains, take part in a workshop in the garrigue, or visit the Museum to find out more about the Roman's way of life, the architecture, etc. During summer weekends, "aperitif-concerts" invite you to dance on the right bank after having enjoyed the pleasures of the riverside. Major festive and artistic events are also scheduled in summertime, aiming to offer moments as exceptional as the Pont du Gard itself.

Site open all year round with free access.
