05 - Église Saint-Étienne
It was built in 1767 on the site of an older church destroyed during the Wars of Religion. Note the only door of the old church still visible. Late Baroque (Jesuit-style), the building is in the shape of a Greek cross. The attractive curved façade is decorated with several urns from which flames rise.
Inside, the cupola, vaults and cornices are good examples of the fine work from the period. Take Rue Nicolas Froment and turn left along Rue Paul Foussat. At N°3, admire the Renaissance façade. Turn right into Rue Port-Royal.
