The Duchy of Uzès
It's one of the most well-preserved feudal complexes located in the centre of a town. It carries the traces of its various periods of construction (from the 12th to the 19th century): Those of the Renaissance, with its richly decorated facade, of the Gothic, with its 15th century chapel and numerous references to the Middle Ages, its Bermonde Tower (11th century) in particular, with a view that spans out across the entire town and its surroundings.
While touring the halls and rooms, you'll not only discover the de Crussol d'Uzès family but you'll also learn about antique furniture. The cellars were rearranged to illustrate the role played by this family in winegrowing.
Tours every day (except Christmas day): Historic monument, privately owned and occupied by the ducal family.
