Saint-Hippolyte de Montaigu

Situated 7 km away from Uzès on the road to Bagnols, Saint-Hippolyte owes its namesake to a 3rd century martyr.
It was the seat of a priory under the authority of the Bishop of Uzès.
Its interesting sights, and there are many: a 12-13th century square tower known as "la Tourasse", a 12th century Romanesque church and Mont Aigu, 257m high.
