Vallabrix

Vallabrix, 340 inhabitants. A little village of Uzège, situated north of Uzès towards Bagnol sur Cèze, crossed by the Alzon. It was the scene of a battle won by the Saracens. It is also a lordship belonging to the Bargetons since the 15th century, whose château with its beautiful Renaissance facade you can admire.
In the village, you'll find the remnants of old ramparts: a condamine fountain and an 11th century Romanesque church with sections dating back to the 8th and 9th centuries, restored in the 19th century: the round bell tower and the porch. Just a few steps from the village, you can also take a look at the quartz quarries.

Visit of Vallabrix in summer.
